Always with the objective of offering the Dominican population cutting-edge and high-quality therapeutic solutions, last Wednesday, April 27, our company made the formal presentation of its new product PROFASETRON, the first and only Ondansetron Syrup in the Dominican Republic, indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting secondary to chemotherapy and radiation therapy in children and adults.
The activity featured a presentation by Dr. Leyri Jorge, Pediatric Oncohematologist, who very professionally presented the analysis of several clinical studies that support the efficacy and safety of Ondansetron in syrup, compared to the injectable, demonstrating the equivalence between both pharmaceutical forms, and positioning Ondansetron Syrup as a Effective therapeutic option for the management of nausea and vomiting in pediatric patients before and after chemotherapy.
The activity was held at the Meridian events center, and was attended by an important group of guests, including medical specialists in the oncology area and related clients. The words of welcome were given by Dr. Miguel Henríquez, General Manager of PROFARES, who highlighted the importance of the availability in our country of this new presentation in Ondansetron syrup, considering that this facilitates the administration in children and in adults with difficulty swallowing pills, plus PROFASETRON has a pleasant strawberry flavor which makes it much more tolerable.
